| We don't test on animals, but this doesn't mean that we don't do testing. Our product has been put through an array of physical and scientific testing to validate it's performance and safety. We tested our product on a varied panel of human subjects in what is called, Repeat Insult Patch Testing (R.I.P.T.) and our product was found to be safe and non-irritating. We tested our product for preservative effectiveness and it passed. We subjected our bases to extreme cold, extreme heat, real time and accelerated stability testing and found it to be an extremely stable formula. |
| There are some companies that believe that nature and technology have to be at odds with one another. We believe that nature and technology can compliment one another. Our formulas were developed utilizing the latest in both natural ingredients and technically advanced performance ingredients. The result is a product that allows us to increase the wear ability of our makeup by utilizing amino acids (nature's building blocks). We've also been able to use other amino acids to stabilize our formulas; replacing older, harsher chemicals that are still commonly used by other companies. By using these and other natural ingredients along with our other performance ingredients, we've been able to create a makeup that acts almost like another layer of skin. So thin it is unnoticeable by the wearer, allowing the skin to breath while at the same time helping to retain the skins natural moisture. |
| Our first and biggest difference is that our shades are true skin matches. The only way you can wind up with an ashy look or an orange/yellow mask is if you want one. Through the use of our custom kits, anyone who can see color can match their skin tone precisely. By choosing one of our 28 pre-blended foundations consumers will be able to match their color more closely than with most other brands. Add to this, a formula that is very light wearing but has excellent coverage. One that is formulated to be the same pH as our skin which helps to increase it's wear ability and eliminates the off color streaks from sweat that sometimes happen with other foundations. Plus this makeup wants to stay on your skin. You can sweat, be active even go swimming and this makeup will stay put; but when you want it to come off just use any cleanser with a higher than neutral pH and the makeup will become water soluble. | By Jove Cosmetics was started with the idea of creating something unique, that is unavailable anywhere else. We started with the idea to create the first at home custom color kit. And from that idea, we created a product that gives the consumers true freedom to make any color foundation and corrective that they desire and also teaches them how to recreate that same color easily. After four years of development, we think we did a pretty good job. |
